You’re only getting farther – you’re the only one. As much as I loved you, you’re the only one. It hurts and hurts and it’s foolish but good bye. Though I may never see you again, you’re the only one. Riku couldn't really find what he was looking for, the silver haired keyblader only found himself wandering. Trying to find something to gift to Sora could not actually be that hard. He was easy to pick for usually but right now Riku found himself rethinking every single choice he ended up making. Just what could he get for Sora and how could he cheer him up a little. Sora had failed his test but that wasn't the only thing upsetting the brunette. That had been obvious when they stopped to have lunch together. Riku and emotions never really went hand in hand now that he thought about it. "What to get?" He mumbled to himself putting his hands back in his pocket as he looked around thoughtfully. Riku wanted to find something good even though he wasn't usually that much into putting a lot of thought into things. Riku almost wondered if he should have brought Sora and watched him. But that would be weird, watching him then sneaking off to get him a present. No Riku wouldn't do that, he'd just have to be smart about this. And use the things he knew about Sora, find something to cheer him up a little. He might have almost felt like it was something he said the day before. But Riku couldn't know, he did not always know how to read Sora's mind. He wasn't really focused on his surroundings either. He was just working on trying to find a present. Looking at the objects before him, maybe he could just take Sora out again. Somewhere that wasn't here. A more secluded place perhaps. Riku's mind was running a mile a minute as he stood there looking very lost in thought. It could not be helped he wanted to find something perfect. But had Riku ever been good at these things, he wasn't a girl and he wasn't one of those boys who knew what to do. Riku just tapped his foot and sighed, he was at least glad this place seemed mostly relaxed. No chaos had happened yet, and that was part of why he seemed to be really enjoying his break at this point. Now if he could get Sora of that state he was in. It made him feel a bit confused, however Riku didn't want to go and ask Sora. He might be a bit of a blunt person but just randomly walking up to Sora and asking him that was not going to happen. So lost in his thoughts he didn't notice anything around him really. If someone bumped into him he'd probably take a bit to register that too. MASON VESELAMADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

While Riku might have had some qualms about watching Sora, a certain someone had none in watching him.
Veser was still getting used to this strange land. This 'Traverse Town' was, in fact, not Earth as he'd realized. At least not the Earth they had been familiar with. It wasn't in his system at all! But as an intern with the Galactic Federation, he had to always be prepared for these sort of things. It was up to him to make entries and logs about what he observed. And when, if, he got back to the station- he'd share his studies with others.
At the moment he was hiding from no one in particular, crouched down behind the convenient line of shrubs where he'd settled. Not exactly to sleep- he probably didn't need to sleep for another day or so- but to set up base and make notes about the behaviors of any passerby. He was doing good so far, typing up in his device and taking pictures and voice recordings with what looked to be a penlight to any eye that wasn't familiar with Galactic Federation gear.
On that note, he'd just been recording a few trite details on a certain silver-haired shopper when a bird had landed on the bush he was peeping from behind. This startled him, causing an involuntary flail- and for the device to go flying into the streets. Going from fearing for his life from a possibly carnivorous bird he didn't recognize to realizing his folly, the teen leaped from behind the bushes and started chasing after the bouncing and rolling piece of delicate equipment. The chase wasn't unlike a graceless puppy after a tennis ball, only with hues of panic as he stumbled and 'ran' on all fours before winging himself back upright again.
Unfortunately 'upright' didn't last long; he only caught up with it just as it slowed to a roll nearing the ground between Riku's legs: as the teen bomb dived to catch it. His single-mindedness meant there was no mind for the poor stranger as the full force of a tiny teenager barreled into the back of his legs low to the ground in an attempt to get the device that had rolled under him. Unmindful of the person he'd just crashed into, he grasped the battered electronic in both hands victoriously, arms stretched out in front of the heap of his body on the ground.

You’re only getting farther – you’re the only one. As much as I loved you, you’re the only one. It hurts and hurts and it’s foolish but good bye. Though I may never see you again, you’re the only one. He should have never let his guard down, but Riku hadn't been able to focus on multiple things today. Just one of the downsides of trying too hard perhaps. The silver haired male would soon find out what his mistake had been, and what it'd cause. Though Riku might not be the most positive person out there, he wouldn't call what happened next as such a bad thing really. Eyes focused on the stores ahead of him he did not know someone was hiding in the bush. Or that said someone would eventually come out and end up almost knocking him over. Sora needed a special something, something from the heart as he'd probably say. But Riku sometimes feared looking into his heart, afraid of what he might see after being in the darkness so long. Those were momentary weaknesses though that faded quickly as he realized what he had done. This couldn't be too hard to find something for Sora. Pulling his hands out of his pocket they reached up to tap his chin thoughtfully. He had to be getting somewhere, Riku felt like he was at least making some form of a breakthrough. However he'd feel better if he could avoid discussing this breakthrough till he was certain it was there and not just a figment of his imagination. Not that he had anyone to actually talk to about it either. Riku only paused again to notice a device bounce between his legs, what the heck? Where had that come from. Seriously someone was throwing things or maybe they had just dropped it. Riku almost thought about picking it up till a form with orange mauled him and almost knocked him off his feet. Riku fell back a bit and managed to catch him, jumping back up before he hit the ground. That had almost been bad, Riku's reflexes were at least still really good. That was something positive this encounter had shown him. "Man you should watch where you are going, that could have been someone else." Riku grumbled low in his throat as he walked closer to the orange haired shrimp in a uniform he had not likely seen before. This kid was obviously not from Traverse though, so he could only assume it was one of the other worlds. Though which one, there were so many out there. He'd have to ask this kid, once he figured out whatever he was chasing after anyway. Why would one piece of equipment be so important? It wasn't a keyblade that could just appear back in his hand, but Riku would just go with the flow. Understanding someone else's wishes and wants was one place to start. Maybe he'd be in luck and find a keyblader he could start training like he'd been asked. This kid didn't seem too bothered by what he was doing. He was more attached to that object in his hand it seemed. MASON VESELAMADE BY ★MEULK OF GS
