Two Keys. Two Hearts.
The final showdown between the warriors of light and the followers of darkness is about to begin!
Despite failing his Mark of Mastery exam, Sora is more determined than ever to earn his rightful place as Keyblade Master. He's set off to various worlds in order to accomplish just that. Riku on the other hand has passed his exam, and is now instructed to recruit and train more warriors of light as Xehanort's True Organization is growing.
More and more keyblade wielders are awakening in times of crisis. Xehanort has sent his incarnations out to sway these individual's to join his battle against the light, while Riku and King Mickey try to do the same. It's a race against time as a new keyblade war approaches. Xehanort still plans to capture all Princesses of Heart and forge the X Blade to open the all powerful Kingdom Hearts.
Adding to the madness, Ansem, Xehanort's Heartless, has built a machine that has sent a shockwave shattering the locks on all worlds, leaving them unlocked. Yen Sid has announced a galactic emergency. On top of recruiting members to join their side, they must actively visit all worlds and begin to lock them once more. The machine is a danger to the balance of the universe, making worlds susceptible to fall into the realms of darkness.
Maleficent and Pete have stayed under the radar. No doubt she's planning to take advantage of this war.
